Dr. Sulieman received his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction: Industrial Technology Education from Indiana State University (1983); MS. in Industrial Professional Technology (1981); B.S. in Mechanical Technology and Physics (1980, 1976-University of Jordan).

Currently Dr. Sulieman is a Free Lance Consultant/Expert on Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Human Resource Development (HRD), and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). He worked for UNESCO (1993-2015) as a Programme Specialist for Secondary, Technical and Vocational Education (STV) and covered advisement and planning of education and training programmes in the Arab region and MENA, through UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in the Arab States-Beirut.

His work experience in education, training, and human resources development covered Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and USA during 1983-1993. Work responsibilities included the development and management of projects with universities, TVET Institutes, and NGOs on youth employment, skills development, and sustainable development, with focus on post conflict countries/areas and the transformation of knowledge and skills towards the world of work needs and socio-economic development in general.

Research and Development interest include promotion of the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in teaching and learning; Curriculum Development; Training of Teachers and Instructors, the Global Action Programme on ESD (GAP-ESD) Priority Areas, and the Education Agenda for 2030.

Professional Membership: including Arab Council for Gifted and Talented (ACGT); Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE); and National Association for Industrial and Technical Teacher Education (NAITTE).
